Mummysmilk.com is an official distributor of the Maya Wrap in Singapore.
Similar in concept to the traditional sarong sling or ring slings that we are more familiar with, the Maya Wrap is made of beautiful 100% cotton Guatemalan hand loomed fabric and uses strong metal rings. Maya Wraps have a certificate from the manufacturer stating that the dyes used do not contain any copper, nickel, lead, mercury, cadmium, cobalt, aluminum, arsenic, chromium or any other poisonous substance. The Sling now has a pocket sewn into the tail -- perfect for holding a diaper or other lightweight items.
This is the most gorgeous ring sling we've found! Because slings are such a visible part of our wardrobe (it practically covers most of whatever top you're wearing), we cannot rave enough about it.
All slings come with an instructional DVD.

Fabric Care
No thread is guaranteed colorfast. Your Maya Wrap has been prewashed so the color should not bleed. However, we strongly recommend that you test your Maya Wrap before you first use it, especially if you have ordered fabric colors 22, 44, 63 or 65. Press a moist white cloth or cotton ball against your Maya Wrap. If there is any dye transfer, you may try to set the color by soaking the wrap in water to which you have added 4 tablespoons of white vinegar and 4 tablespoons of salt. Salt can corrode the finish on your rings, so please protect them. Soak for a couple of minutes, remove from the water and allow it to line dry. If it still bleeds, rinse in cold water until the bleeding stops. Using hot water or a steam iron can reactivate the dyes and could cause more bleeding.
Caring for your sling is easy. Just wash and hang to dry. |
